When it comes to sharing my favourite things with y’all, the limit truly does not exist! When I had first started blogging I did a monthly round-up post of all of my favourite things, just so they would be in one easy place for you to see. I’m doing a test run to bring this back so you can easily access all of my favourites in the monthly favourites round-up! July’s release of A Few Things I Love (and the first official one since 2019, yahoo!) is coming in hot with all things summer, from what’s keeping me cool to sweet indulgences!

A Few Things I love: July 2021 Edition
Below I’ve broken down into categories the things I’m absolutely loving this July and want to share with you!
As more things open up (I reside in Ontario and we’ve entered stage 3 – IYKYK), I hope to add more experience to the Things I Love roundup. Fingers crossed this takes place soon!
Eats
Ninja® Foodi™ Digital Air Fry Oven
I recently moved and decided to cave and get an air fryer (just to see what the hype was all about!). I have to say I’m not disappointed.
The Ninja Foodi air fries to perfection, making food light and crispy (instead of dense and greasy, which can sit so heavy when it’s hot outside).
It doubles as a toaster oven, with additional options to air roast & air dry!
Kawartha Dairy Mint Chip Ice Cream
If you know, you know.
Kawartha Dairy is an Ontario staple in the dairy industry, and have a large foot in the ice cream market (you can read their story here).
A Canadian owned and operated family business – what’s not to love?
My absolute favourite flavour of the summer is the Mint Chip, perfect for cooling off on a hot day!
They don’t fool around either – actual chocolate chips (none of that weird shaved chocolate that some companies try to pass off as ‘mint chip’).

Flow Water
I share quite a bit about Flow water on my Instagram page but this summer it has been a staple in my diet (especially with all of the hot, humid weather we’ve been having)!
Flow water is naturally alkaline (pH of 8.1) spring water with electrolytes and minerals! They offer a variety of flavours (my favourite is the peach blueberry – a must try) and are heavily focused on sustainable packaging and reducing their carbon footprint!
I’ll spare you the details on why being hydrated is so important for our bodies (as many of us know), but I know that it’s easier to stay hydrated when the water you’re drinking actually tastes good!

Skin Care
La Roche-Posay: ANTHELIOS ULTRA-FLUID SPF 50+ FACIAL SUNSCREEN
I swear by this sunscreen and use it way beyond the summer months!
La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios Sunscreen is an absolute staple in my skin care routine, no matter the weather or the season.
It’s lightweight formula (oil-free & made for all skin types!) is perfect whether you’re going bare faced or layering under makeup.

As someone with oily skin, I’ve had a hard time when it comes to loving a facial sunscreen.
This is my go-to facial sunscreen that I absolutely swear by!
Facial Cooling Globes – Sephora
When Sephora launched the glass cooling globes back in the winter, I jumped right on the chance to scoop them up!
These facial cooling globes are great for soothing skin and relieving puffiness (and overall winding down after a long day!)
While the ones I purchased are no longer available, Sephora has shifted to a metal facial cooling globe that delivers the exact same effect as the glass one all while being more durable (it’s a true miracle I haven’t broken mine yet).

Lifestyle
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is something I’ve recently been diving into and it’s an understatement to say it’s changed the way I think, and the way I continue to perceive things.
Practicing being mindful brings focus to the present moment (thoughts, emotions, feelings etc.) and brings awareness to our inner and outer surroundings. Becoming more mindful allows us to live in the present without the nagging feeling of drawing on the past or anticipating the future.
If you’re interested in learning more about mindfulness and how to get started, you can read more here.
Prioritizing the Small Things
The small things are what make our lives decadent – it’s the taking an extra long shower to scrub every inch of your skin, the feeling of clean sheets before bed, the making yourself a nice meal just because and more.
When you stop and decide to fill your day with moments of joy, you feel a deeper appreciation for yourself and your abilities.
I’ve been focusing a lot on treating myself like an actual Queen and thinking about what that might look like day to day. Prioritizing the small things for me means I’m not skipping over the little details or backing down because of laziness, but I’m actually taking the time to reward and honour myself at every turn, without justification.
By doing this, I’ve made more time for things I actually enjoy doing, I cook more, I read more, I sleep better at night. Paying attention to the details and making a commitment to myself has been one of the biggest game changers this month.

What I love About A Few Things I love
Writing a ‘few things I love’ round-up is a little bit different from how I’m used to sharing things. I really like the idea of sharing a quick update with you guys on all of the things I’m loving and how they’ve made my life a little easier, more indulgent or just plain made me smile.
I can’t wait to continue this series and make it a staple on the blog!
Have you tried any of these things out? Are you looking forward to adding them into your day to day routine? Tell me more!

I love Kawartha Dairy’s ice cream. I’m not a fan of mint chocolate chip but I love their moose tracks. My dentist told the the other day about a salted caramel flavour they have. Must check that one out!
ouh yes!! the Moosetracks is also phenomenal! I need to check out that salted caramel one, thanks for letting me know!
