As we head into the colder months of the year, a common feeling throughout the holiday season is gratitude. While it’s important to practice gratitude daily, we may be looking to incorporate more moments of feeling grateful throughout this season. Whether you’re having a hard time thinking of things to be grateful for, or need a little reminder about the good, pure things in life, this list of 50 things to be grateful for can help you out!

Here is a list of 50 things to be grateful for. Throughout this post I’ve sprinkled in little facts about gratitude, and why it’s so important to continuously be practicing it.
1. Being You
The chances of everything lining up perfectly so that you could be here – you would have a better chance of winning the lottery. Be grateful that you just have the opportunity to be yourself!
2. Getting to Sleep In
Of all of the things to be grateful for, this one is the coziest! The feeling of going to bed knowing you have nowhere to be the next day is an amazing feeling, and makes for a great sleep!
3. Having a Place to Call Home
Having a place to come home to, decompress and feel safe is so important. Your home is your safe haven where you can be yourself comfortably.
4. Family and Friends
Your support system is everything! Whoever you choose to let into your inner circle and call family and friends is entirely your choice. Having people who love you and want to succeed is a wonderful thing to have.
5. A Warm Beverage
Sometimes taking five and having something warm such as coffee or tea can calm us right down. Think of the feeling of putting your hands around the warm cup!

Sunsets are breathtaking and stunningly beautiful. They make way for the stars to come out and the moon to rise. Sunsets are a little reminder that even endings can be beautiful.
Think of all of the things technology can do for us! In many ways, technology can simplify our lives! Technology allows us to connect, learn, share information and make our lives more efficient.
Autumn is a season of the soul, and one of many beautiful things to be grateful for There is nothing more beautiful than watching the leaves change, the air turn crisper and the cozy feeling set in. I’m eternally grateful we live in a world that has Octobers.
The ability to feel things is something we should cherish. To be able to feel absolute bliss and joy, as well as heartbreak and sadness. The happiness and the hurt we feel all play an important role in our lives.

The feeling of slipping into something soft and comfy as soon as we get home is sheer bliss.
The ability to send and receive mail is something we should be grateful for! Imagine not feeling the joy you feel as a new package arrives in the mail!
Not only does it fill the air and our hearts with joy, music is something so many of us connect with on a deeper level. Whether we’re the ones listening or creating, music is a source of happiness and joy. Of course, this was a no brainer when it came to things to be grateful for!

Warmth, light and just pure joy – there’s something about a sunny day that nothing can ruin the feeling of!
This one is a no-brainer. Bring on the puppies, please!
Truthfully life would be a lot more challenging without it! Be grateful for the electricity that keeps us warm, fed and lights up those dark nights!
19. The Challenges Life Has Given You
Not every day can be filled with sunshine and rainbows. Appreciate the challenges life has given you, for those have made you into the person you are today!
Sitting by a fire can be warm and mesmerizing! Nothing beats a bonfire on a chilly, dark evening! Definitely one of the things to be grateful for, especially in the summer!

Laughter is contagious, the best medicine and something that brings joy to everyone around (especially the kind that makes you cry from laughing so hard). My absolute favourite of the things to be grateful for.

Of course, being in a relationship is also amazing, but embracing time as being a single person is something to appreciate while you have the chance!

It’s super satisfying to be able to enhance your living area with scents you love!
To have the opportunity to listen to your favourite music live while surrounded by other people who feel the same way is such a wonderful shared experience.

To be able to turn on the tap and have clean drinking water at our fingertips is something we should always cherish.
It wouldn’t be a list written by me if I didn’t throw wine on here. Tell me, what is there not to be grateful for?! Knowing me, it was obvious I added this to the list of things to be grateful for!
There’s something so mesmerising about watching a sparkler in action. Something so pretty isn’t quick to leave our memories!
34. Your Job/Career
To be able to work, have an income, and have the ability to grow, level up, be our own bosses is a magical thing.

Think back to a time when someone did something so selfless it touched your heart. Try to emulate that in everything you do, and appreciate the kindness you receive from others! This is one of the things to be grateful for we often overlook, until it isn’t there!
There’s something so satisfying about snapping a picture and watching it develop before your eyes!
38. Your Bed
The simplest form of bliss right here. We don’t truly appreciate our beds until it’s time to leave, or we don’t have one.
Life would be devoid of joy if humour didn’t exist!
40. Money in Your Bank Account
Money can’t buy happiness, but financial security is a huge weight off your shoulders.
Whoever thought to have something sweet after dinner was a genius, and for them we should be grateful for!
